Why are AHA and BHA acids useful to any skin type?
You can remove dead skin cells with AHA and BHA acid-based peeling, thereby helping the skin to renew.
Peeling helps the skin look younger, it removes the dead skin cells and facilitates the restoration of new cells, maintains clear pores, and boosts the flow of blood and the production of collagen.
In order to remove dead skin cells from the skin it is necessary to undergo either mechanical or chemical peeling. With mechanical exfoliation, we aggressively remove the surface of the skin, while by chemical peeling using AHA and BHA acids we gently act on the skin. They effectively melt the “glue” that holds dead skin cells together, thus removing them from the surface of the skin.
We use alpha-hydroxy-acid (AHA) and beta-hydroxy acid (BHA) to eliminate irregularities and perform effective exfoliation, i.e. peeling of the skin.
This helps the skin to perform the restoration function that the skin itself performed during adolescence. With age, the skin regenerates more slowly, and this restoration process slows down significantly, and dead skin cells on the surface of the skin cause complexion problems such as dryness, dehydration lines, wrinkles, enlarged pores and an uneven complexion.
The appearance of skin is determined by its ability of self-renewal. Using AHA and BHA exfoliants, we will successfully remove dead skin cells from the skin’s surface, reveal a radiant, smoothed and hydrated complexion, reduce irregularities, and allow for easier, faster and deeper penetration of products that are applied as part of continued skin care.
The action of AHA and BHA acids is often accompanied by feelings of burning, redness and heat on the skin. These are normal and expected reactions, which weaken with continued use.
Alpha-hydroxy-acid (AHA) are acids derived from natural substances such as sugar cane, milk, almonds, apples or grapes. They are smaller molecular sizes that allow them to quickly penetrate the deeper layers of the skin. The molecules are hydrophilic, which means they melt exclusively in water and do not have the ability to penetrate through the skin sebum.
They effectively remove dead cells from the skin, stimulate fibroblasts to produce collagen, stimulate the formation of hyaluronic acid and have a moisturizing effect.
AHA is suitable for the care of all skin types, especially normal and dry. It works on the surface of the skin and gives excellent, visible results in rejuvenation treatment, and reduces uneven irregularities and hyperpigmentation.
Beta-hidroksi-kiselina (BHA) has a larger molecular size than AHA and is soluble exclusively in oil. They are the best choice for oily and combination skin, prone to acne and comedones, as the BHA penetrates deep into the pores and cleanses excess sebum.
BHA opens and cleans clogged sebaceous and allows for deep skin purification. BHA has proven antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effects, and acts to reduce the formation of blackheads, comedones, pimples and acne.
GLOW UP fluid gel serum as the main ingredient contains AHA – Alpha-hydroxy-acid of which 4% is glycolic acid and 1% is mandelic acid, and 1% is PHA gluconolactone, 0,2% is BHA – salicylic acid. It also contains ceramides, oats, liquorice, gotu kola and green tea extract.
It is ideal for all skin types, especially those lacking radiance and freshness, for dehydrated skin, uneven texture, with hyperpigmentation changes and skin with visible signs of aging.
It works by eliminating dead skin cells by weakening their connections and preparing the skin for better absorption of active ingredients. The effect of this process is bright, radiant skin and an even complexion.
It enhances the smoothing of uneven skin (scars as a result of acne) and reduce the signs of hyperpigmentation. In oily and impure skin, it promotes cleaning within the pores and normalization of sebum secretion. The active ingredients act on the stimulation of collagen and hyaluronic acid synthesis, which is particularly suitable for dry and dehydrated skin. Improves skin hydration, reduces visible wrinkles, firms skin and slows down its aging.
GLOW UP is formulated at an optimal pH 3.8 level, to work and achieve the best result.
SOS SKIN gel serum, as the main ingredient, uses 2% BHA – Beta-hydroxy-acid.
The benefits of BHA application will be for all skin types, however, BHA is the best ally of combination and oily skin, prone to inflammation, irritation and impurities as it allows deep clearing of pores and normalization of sebum secretion.
Narrows pores and reduces the formation of pimples, blackheads, comedones and acne. Helps reduce the visibility of acne scars.
SOS SKIN is formulated at an optimal pH 3.6 level. In order for the BHA to achieve the best results, it must have an appropriate pH in the range between 3 and 4. Beyond this range the serum will not work and the results will be missed.
